General League Helper

Time Commitment
Pre-Season Commitment
- Planning and preparation meetings (5–7 hours).
- Orientation: League Orientation (approx. 2 hours).
Trainings & Requirements (30–45 minutes each):
- Completion of Volunteer Impact Portal (VIP) Application.
- California Child Abuse Prevention Training.
Season Commitment
- Oversee league operations (approx. 5–7 hours weekly, includes game day).
- Post-season debrief meeting (2–3 hours).

Position Summary
General League Supporters play an essential role in creating a smooth, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for athletes, families, and guests. These volunteers may serve as team parents, scorekeepers, concession workers, greeters, or in other support roles. While not all roles require direct ministry, every volunteer helps reflect the mission and values of FCA by serving with excellence, joy, and care.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Parent – Support coaches and athletes by helping with team communication, organization, and parent connections.
- Game Support – Keep score, manage game clocks, and assist referees as needed.
- Hospitality – Greet families and guests, provide directions, and create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Concessions – Assist with setup, sales, and cleanup of concession stands.
- Facility Support – Help with setup, cleanup, or other logistical needs.

Qualifications
- Friendly, reliable, and willing to serve where needed.
- Strong attention to detail (for scorekeeping or concessions).
- Good communication and people skills (for greeting, hospitality, or team parent roles).
- Supportive of FCA’s mission and values.
- While not required to be a Christ follower, volunteers must respect the beliefs of FCA.
Training & Requirements

- California Child Abuse Prevention Training (required for all volunteers).
- FCA Volunteer Orientation.
- Role-Specific Training (team parent, scorekeeping, concessions, greeting, etc.).
